What has your LOC been working on for the past 4 weeks?
The Faith Leader/Clergy Caucus continues to work on interfaith formation and social change. We have populated 4 work groups working to develop applicable practices/actions for each group.
Action Updates
Each workgroup develops designs and or practices for citywide/public engagement and application. (i.e Citywide Revival, draft articles and opinions, public information, etc.)
Research Meetings
Clergy & Elder Roles at Federation Level
We also spend workgroup time each month exploring the various roles that clergy and elders are often called into, including:
--- Teaching/Preaching/Formation - around racism, organizing, voter work, etc.
--- Bridging - bringing your congregation/denomination and other clergy/elders into the fight
--- Public Narrative - telling a ‘Story of Us’ rooted in faith values of dignity and community
--- Public Acts of Resistance & Solidarity - to change structures/systems that oppress
--- Internal Leadership - providing vision and guidance to your federations/organizations
